2025 Sino-Foriegn Controlling Forum was held successfully on June 20th
On June 20th, the 2025 Sino-Foreign Controlling Forum——"Rising to the Challenges" has been held successfully in Suzhou. More than 100 participants attended the event. This year, the event was organized by DUSA European Association Suzhou and Corporate Performance One, sponsored by Jedox and supported by International Association of Controllers (ICV), Taicang Roundtable, China-ltaly chamber of Commerce, Wuxi Chamber of Commerce, Swiss Chamber of Commerce, Changzhou International Managers Forum, Danish Chamber of Commerce of China, Sweden Chamber China, CA controller akademie and Norwegian Business Association.
This forum, which has been running since 2013, has once again brought together experts and professionals to exchange best practices and delve into cutting-edge topics in corporate financial management.
The 2025 Sino-Foreign Controlling Forum aims to provide a platform for information, communication, and experience sharing among finance & controlling professionals as well as non-financial managers in a time, in which good and constantly evolving controlling practice is more important than ever. Besides interesting keynote presentations, the Forum offers, just as in the previous years, breakout sessions dealing with different topics relevant for maintaining and improving business and financial performance in China.
The 2025 Sino-Foreign Controlling Forum
Mr. Alexander Prautzsch, Tax Director, International Tax / German Desk of PricewaterhouseCoopers Consultants (Shenzhen) Limited, Shanghai Branch was the moderator of the event.
The forum began with welcome remarks by Mr. Julien Boussu, former Board of Director of DUSA European Association Suzhou & CFO of Knorr- Bremse China. He expressed his gratitude to all the attendees, speakers and also the sponsor-Jedox, the partners and organizers to the event.
Dr. Hendrik Kohleick, Head of Finance Asia-Pacific at Henkel (China) Investment Co., Ltd gave the keynote speech: "Next level of business partnering to support Henkel's growth agenda".
Mr. Tom Tian, Regional Head of Finance & Controlling Greater China at tesa Greater China shared the topic with participants: "The New China CFO Playbook - Agile Transformation for China's New Economic Reality".
The forum featured three workshops breakout sessions.
At the 1st session:
Mr. Jonas Eberle, Director of Finance and Treasury of Würth (China) Holding Co., Ltd. shared his topic: "Optimizing Cash & Treasury Management in China";
Ms. Lucy Lv, Former Cost Control Director and Sr. HR & Admin Director of MFLEX (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. brought the topic "Cost Reduction & Efficiency improvement-Practice & Experience in an Enterprise Growing from Small Business to Billion-Dollar Co.";
Ms. Lily Wu, Head of Finance of ruhlamat Automation Technologies (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was the moderator of this workshop.
Ms. Julia Wangler, CFO & SVP of Voith Paper Asia shared his topic "Effective Collaboration with Your (German) Headquarter – How to Manage Expectations and Bridge Cultural Differences".
The 2nd workshop breakout session also included 3 workshops.
"Digital Transformation and Automation of Processes for Overhead Functions" shared by Haiguang Li, Chief Information Officer; Hongqiang Lu, IT Manager; Jinren Xie, IT Solution Developer of Schaeffler Holding (China) Co., Ltd.
Mr. Christian Kalkbrenner, the Finance & Administration Director of Zapp Precision Metals (Taicang) Co., Ltd. He was the moderator of the workshop.
Mr. Kevin Zhou, Senior Manager, Controlling Greater China and Ms. Kris Wang, Controlling Director of BASF Greater China brought their topic "Using Technology for Finance & Controlling - The Experience of BASF China" .
Mr. Stephane Monsallier,CEO & Founder of System in Motion shared the topic "AI Agents for Finance & Controlling".
Dr. Zhen Huang, Managing Director of Corporate Performance One GmbH shared the result of The 2025 Sino-Foreign Controlling Survey.
Mr. Florian Bliefert, Manager, Consultant, and Trainer at CA controller akademie AG (Germany) shared online the research insight from German-Speaking Countries "AI and ChatGPT for Controlling – How to Make It Work".
In a special VIP presentation, Mr. Chun Seong Lim (CS), Vice President Asia at Jedox brought the topic "Empowering FP&A - Digital Business Partnering for an Uncertain Future".
